Saved my skin.
I have used Alima Pure Foundation for a year now. I wanted to wait to write my review, because often times a new makeup works out great, but after my skin gets used to it, it begins to wreck havoc. Not the case here! I love the texture, coverage, and bang-for-your-buck. (These containers last me several months- I’ve only bought 2 in the past year.) I have very sensitive, oily, break-out prone skin, and this is the only makeup that not only doesn’t contribute to it, it actually has made my skin better! Even my husband has remarked how my skin glows now. I used to think I was a cool skin tone because my face was always so red. Then I did the skin test and saw my body’s true undertone was yellow. After a few months of using this foundation, I now know my face was red because it was so irritated by all the chemicals in my old product! I will never stop using this product! I have light-medium skin and green eyes, and beige 3 is a perfect match for me fall-spring, beige 4 is excellent for my summer tan.

Lovely light foundation. Lots of shades!
This foundation is great, and I love that Alima has so many shades!! I’m very pale but with somewhat warm undertones, so most “light” foundation shades are too pink for me. Alima’s website has a foundation finder that is very helpful. This is probably the most economical mineral foundation I’ve found as well. It goes on silky smooth. The only reason I’m giving it 4 hearts instead of 5 is because the coverage is not as good or buildable as other mineral foundations I’ve tried.

So many colour options to choose from! The Alima Pure website actually made it really easy to narrow down the best colour matches for my skin. It’s a very light weight powder foundation that goes on really well and actually provides good coverage too. This has become a new staple product for me.

I already had this foundation in neutral 2, but it was a bit too pale for me, and I wasn’t sure it was the correct undertone. I ordered it in Beige 4 – turns out Beige is a bit too peachy for me, but nothing serious. The shade is perfect for tanned skin (or for matching your face to your chest when you have a tan there!), and as usual doesn’t break me out or irritate my skin. I think having two shades – a lightest for deep dark winter and a darkest for a summer tan – that you can then mix and match is pretty ideal!

Finally found my perfect shade
I’ve had a hard time finding a natural mineral make-up shade that works well with my unique afro/latina skin tone. Number 8 is exactly what I’ve been looking for! It gives me such a smooth, soft, natural coverage and shine control without looking like a matte mask. I’m very impressed.
