SPF 30 for Face & Body

“Oily but effective

Our family has used both the Badger SPF 15 and 30 sunscreens for face and body. We’ve found them to be quite effective, and I have not noticed a difference between using either the 15 and 30 (we re-apply fairly frequently with both). My only complaint is that the formulations are quite greasy, so you walk around with a “white” shine on your skin and “yellow” on your clothes/bathing suits if you are not careful with application (though I have found it washes out). So perfect for a day at the beach, but maybe not for a more formal summer outing.

“Pretty gross application

I bought this cos it was on every list as a good physical barrier sunscreen, esp for my infant daughter. Despite kneading the tube as the instructions and common sense dictated, the sunscreen had hardened beads in it that got just everywhere and were very difficult to remove. But yes, it worked just fine as a sunscreen.

“Crisco goes on lighter than this sunscreen

I wanted to love this product, since I desperately need sunscreen (I’ve had a skin cancer removed from my forehead, though I’m only in my 40s), I refuse to put chemical sunblocks on my skin. But good gawd, this was the heaviest, greasiest thing that has ever touched my skin. I’d rate my skin as normal (neither dry nor oily), I live in Seattle (winters are humid but summers are actually fairly dry compared to the east coast), and this stuff felt like axle grease. It might be just the thing for January in Siberia, but here… not so much. What a shame, since the world is in desperate need of carcinogen-free sunscreens.

“Safe and effective

Wonderful all-around sunscreen if you are concerned about slathering unsafe chemicals into your skin. I use this for myself and my two daughters and love the pleasing, creamy texture and light scent. The added bonus is that it has never caused a breakout on my face!

“Ok....for a day at the beach

This sunscreen is very effective however, it is really thick—too thick for an “everyday” sunscreen for me. I would use this for a day at the beach or outdoors but, this just does not do it for me as an everyday sunscreen.
