Sweet Orange & Silk Protein Styling Gel

“Good volume, good ingredients, good value

This one will elicit the proverbial “gee your hair smells terrific” response. I have no issues with white flakes, but then again I just use a touch to add a little volume, shape and hold to my roots. Maybe some of these other reviewers are caking it on. You can’t expect a natural product to hold stiffly like those icky sticky synthetic plastic concoctions of yore – and that’s a good thing. It seems a bit pricey at first, but with the tiny amount I use each day I think this bottle is going to last me a year or two.

“Leaves tiny white flakes when it dries

Wanted to loooove this. I stopped coloring my hair and, as a result, it’s shinier but flatter, and I’ve been looking for a light, volumizing gel. Unfortunately, like another reviewer noted, this leaves tiny white flakes in my hair when it dries. It also gives really weak hold. Not worth $17, especially for the very basic ingredients.

“Best Hair Gel I've Ever Tired! THIS STUFF IS AMAZING!

I had bought some organic mascara on Saffron Rouge, and I choose this Sweet Orange and Silk Protein Styling Gel as a free sample. I was really surprised by this product! Even though I was given a sample size, there was plenty of the product to use in my long hair. The gel was incredible at styling my hair! I like to wear my hair in curls, so I did a basic ‘scrunch’ method. THE GEL WORKED REALLY WELL! I GOT AMAZING CURLS! It was better then my Giovani styling gel (which you had to use on WET hair only, while this gel you could use on wet or dry hair). The product is very versatile! You can use it to straighten, curl, and style hair to your desire weather your hair be wet or dry! This is the best product I have tried for my styling my hair. It’s not overcomplicated, it’s very easy to use, and it’s extremely versatile. It also smells like orange jello-which makes me want to eat it XD . So I guess that’s a good thing, as long as you don’t eat it, and as long as your beau loves the fragrant orange smell from your hair product instead of normal ucky smelling petrol based silicone ones. “Mmmm, your hair product smells like orange jello…..;D

“Smells great, works well...

Smells lovely, and has never given me any issues with flaking. Helps to define and de-frizz my natural waves, and doesn’t leave my hair feeling at all sticky.

“Can't wear black and use this product

I love the smell and feel of this product and it held my curls very well but use too much, they turn “crispy.” Worse, this product has a terrible habit of flaking and it seems that the further down the bottle you go (the more you use it) the worse it flakes! Snowstorm!
