Often massaged into the skin to ease sore muscles and arthritis pain, it can also be used to help bronchitis, coughs, colds and laryngitis. A known decongestant and expectorant, add a few drops of pepper black oil into a diffuser for easier breathing. Considered a top note when blended with other essential oils, it combines well with bay leaf, frankincense and clove bud. It has a hot and spicy scent that's expertly retained as the plant's fruit is steam distilled.

Deep warming effect
Forget Tiger Balm or Ben Gay or any other off the shelf muscle soothing formulas. This oil is what you need. Mix a few drops in a carrying oil and massage it in. Your skin and muscles will thank you.

Not a pretty scent, but it is powerful
I can't say I enjoy the scent of this pepper oil, especially as compared to some of the floral and citrus essential oils out there, but it does have some effective health benefits. It's not about the perfume, it's about how it makes you feel. It really works my muscle tension out and keeps my mild arthritis in line. Good for colds, too.

Directions for use
In the bath add 2 –3 drops of essential oil to a natural emulsifier such as a base oil, cream, honey, liquid soap or sea salts. To create a body, massage or bath oil blend 5 to 15 drops of either just black pepper oil or a combination of different essential oils into 50 ml of a base oil. To experience the aromatherapeutic benefits, add a few drops of black pepper oil to a bowl of hot water and inhale the healing steam. You can also use the oil in a fountain, burner or diffuser.
