Create an effective insect repellent using this fresh-smelling essential oil. Although most popular to banish bugs, it can also be used to treat rheumatic pain, ease headaches and soothe cold symptoms or as a household cleaning agent. Used as a top note when infused with other oils, it blends well with both melissa (lemon balm) and cedar essential oils. It has a fresh, herbal lemony-balsamic scent. The aromatherapeutic and healing properties of the oil are preserved by steam distillation.

Directions for Use
Infuse the air with the bug-repelling properties of this oil by adding a few drops to a diffuser, burner or pot of steaming hot water. To create a body, massage or bath oil, blend 5 to 15 drops of either just citronella oil or a combination of different essential oils into 50 ml of a base oil. In the bath add 2 -3 drops of citronella essential oil to a natural emulsifier such as a base oil, cream, honey, liquid soap or sea salts. To experience the aromatherapeutic benefits, add a few drops of oil to a bowl of hot water and inhale the healing steam.
