The heavily scented oil is filled with antiseptic, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties to aid skin. It also acts as an anti-depressive when infused into the air. Approximately 30 rose blooms are needed to produce just one drop of this precious rose essential oil. Considered a middle note when blended with other essential oils it combines well with sandalwood, lavender, melissa, neroli, jasmine, cedar wood and orange oils. Made with Bulgarian roses that are steam distilled, the oil has a heavy, sweet and mature rose fragrance.
The rose petals used to make this oil are grown and harvested on Primavera's sustainable organic farming partnership in Bulgaria to ensure the highest quality and purest oil possible.

Better in the bath than on my face
I found this oil a bit intense to use on my face. I know some swear by it, but the scent didn't agree with my sensitive skin and actually made my eyes water (perhaps I put on too much?) But in a room diffuser or in the tub, it's quite a mood-calming essence.

Directions for use
In the bath add 2 –3 drops of essential oil to a natural emulsifier such as a base oil, cream, honey, liquid soap or sea salts. To create a body, massage or bath oil blend 5 to 15 drops of either just rose oil or a combination of different essential oils into 50 ml of a base oil. To experience the aromatherapeutic benefits, add a few drops of rose oil to a bowl of hot water and inhale the healing steam. You can also use the oil in a fountain, burner or diffuser.
