Excellent Conditioner!!!
This is a great conditioner. I used this after the Yarok shampoo. Great at detangling my baby fine, long hair. I am in love with the smell of this, but then again I love earthy scents. If you don’t like the smell of vetiver, this won’t be right for you. It’s not a heavy, masculine scent at all. It’s a pleasant, earthy, musky, ‘feels like you’re in the forest after it rains’ scent. Another reviewer noted it smelled like smoke in her hair. Let me tell you this doesn’t smell like cigarette smoke at all, which I can’t stand!!!!! Maybe a little like musky incense. The musky aroma did not linger in my hair (which I wouldn’t have minded at all since I like it) afterwards because I used the Yarok shine serum, which smells like chamomile. Lovely!

Smells like smoke!
The smell is just terrible. It smells like a smoky basement and it’s bizarre, because the shampoo is this fun, citrusy scent…then you get to the conditioner and it’s back to the basement. Plus, it leave my hair smelling smoky. My husband even asked where I was that my hair smelled like smoke.

Healthy Shiny Hair
It tried this with the Feed Your Volume Shampoo and the Feed Your Youth Serum and loved all of the products. The scent is a nice change from lemon or flowers and I don’t find it masculine. These products have a herby scent that is authentic. The result is healthy shiny hair that has body. I would definitely buy Yarok again.

Gives Volume but Smells Musky
I bought this along with the Feed Your Volume Shampoo. One star is for the fact that if you use the shampoo and the conditioner together your hair will have more volume. It worked for me and I have long, fine, color-treated hair. One star is for quality ingredients. I can’t rate this conditioner any higher than that because of the following reasons:
1. The Vetiver essential oil scent comes through way too strongly. The overall essential oil blend is extremely smokey, musky, and masculine smelling. Not my favorite scent to condition my hair with. 2. The volume shampoo smells very strongly of grapefruit and citrus. The combination of citrus scent then musky, masculine scent just does not work. Very confused.
3. I tried the volume shampoo then a different conditioner and did not get half the amount of volume in my hair as when I used the volume shampoo with this volume conditioner. Vice versa for using a different shampoo with this conditioner. Thus I found that if you really want volume you need to use both Yarok Volume Shampoo + Conditioner together. That bothered me because the two scents are so mismatched.
4. I felt like the volume gained in my hair was at the expense of moisture – my hair felt brittle when I used this product.
All being said, I don’t think I would buy this again. If you don’t mind a masculine scented product then I would suggest it but only with the shampoo as well to truly get volume.
Condition your hair using many of the same sustainable, nourishing, plumping ingredients as Yarok Feed Your Volume Shampoo.
